1. Divya Dhampathi – Sriman Narayana – Paramapadhanathan and Sri Mahalakshmi Thayar

Lakshminatha Samarambham Natha Yamuna Madhyamam
Asmadhacharya Paryantham Vandhe Guru Paramparam

I pray to all the Acharyas beginning with Srman Narayana who is the Nathan (priyam) of Sri Mahalakshmi with Nathamuni and Yamunachariar in the center and all other Acharyas in the Guru Parampara until my present Acharyan.

Sriman Narayana reveals the Dhvaya Maha Manthram to Sri Mahalakshmi as she is the one who has all the lakshana gunas (attributes) of an Acharya as Krupa – compassion and kindness, parathanthriyam (total dependence on Sriman Narayana) and ananyarhathvam (totally entitled to Sriman Narayana). Sri Mahalakshmi is the total embodiment of the three qualities and therefore is the second in the lineage of Acharyas. She is the Purushakara the one who recommends to Sriman Narayana about the Jeevathmas and to relieve them of the sufferings in this world and give eternal bliss – moksham.

Dhvaya Maha Manthram

srIman nArAyaNa charaNau sharaNam prapadyE . srImathE nArAyaNAya namaha.

Dvayam is a sharnagathi manthram where we give up all our ego and totally surrender unto the supreme Sriman Narayana.

Lord Krishna himself says in Bhagavad Gita Chapter 18 Verse 66 surrender unto me only.

सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज |
अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुच: ||

sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śharaṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣhayiṣhyāmi mā śhuchaḥ||
