Ashtabhuja
Perumal, the eight-armed form of Lord Vishnu, worshipped at Ashtabhuja Perumal Temple in
Kanchipuram.
This stotram glorifies the Lord's divine qualities, his protective nature, and his unique eight-armed
form, which holds different weapons and symbols.
- It consists of eight verses, each describing the Lord’s
divine attributes and supreme power.
- The name "Ashtabhuja" means "eight-armed",
signifying Lord Vishnu’s readiness to
protect and uphold dharma.
- The Stotram praises the Lord's weapons like the discus
(Sudarshana Chakra), conch (Panchajanya),
mace (Kaumodaki), and bow (Sharanga), symbolizing his ability to destroy evil and protect
devotees.
